HEALTHeLINK presenting at 2018 National Health Information Exchange Conference

BUFFALO, NY – Members of HEALTHeLINK’s leadership team are presenting at the 2018 Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) annual conference on Aug. 20 in Atlanta. SHIEC is the national trade association of health information exchanges (HIEs).

HEALTHeLINK Executive Director Dan Porreca’s presentation, “Documented value HIE organizations bring to their community,” will highlight several studies HEALTHeLINK has conducted in a variety of clinical settings and public health organizations in Western New York to assess the impact of the use of HIE from a clinical quality, administrative expense, practice vitality, and patient experience of care perspective. In addition to his role with HEALTHeLINK, Porreca also serves as chair of the SHIEC board of directors.

Drew McNichol, director of technology, and Denise Marshall, senior manager, analytics & systems management, are presenting “A new paradigm for healthcare analytics,” focused on HEALTHeLINK’s innovation in analytics with its vendor partner Stella Technology.
