What is HEALTHeLINK?
HEALTHeLINK is a collaboration among hospitals, physicians, health plans and other health care providers in the eight counties (Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, Allegany, Genesee, Orleans) of western New York State to securely exchange clinical information to improve the quality of care, enhance patient safety and mitigate health care costs. HEALTHeLINK, a not-for-profit organization, is the Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) for Western New York.

HEALTHeLINK is also a Qualified Entity of the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY), which enables providers to access their patients’ data from across the state. In addition, HEALTHeLINK is a founding member of the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC), the national trade association of health information exchanges.
HEALTHeLINK continues to deliver more and better ways to serve providers and health care organizations in the secure electronic exchange of clinical information. Broader, quicker and secure access to medical information translates into better clinical outcomes, improved efficiency and overall improved safety for the Western New York health care consumer.
