COVID-19 Notice

March 16, 2020

With the continued spread of coronavirus, COVID-19, HEALTHeLINK services will continue to be available to the Western New York health care community.

Health information plays a critical role in the delivery of care. No matter what symptoms a patient may present at the doctor’s office, enabling access to one’s medical history at the point of care is critically important for the most effective treatment.

HEALTHeLINK has been in communications with our providers and our vendors to ensure seamless service operations, preparedness for increased challenges, and ongoing support during this outbreak. We continue to navigate this very fluid situation with them.

The health and safety of our employees is of utmost importance. We have updated our business continuity plan and have the tools and procedures in place, if needed, to enable our employees to securely work remotely, while continuing to deliver support for our participating providers.

We also understand our unique role in the health care system. HEALTHeLINK is in close contact with County Health Departments, New York State Department of Health, New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) and the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) and we remain ready to assist in any way we can with COVID-19 response efforts. This includes supporting epidemiology and surveillance efforts by enabling tracking and alert notifications from additional data sources specific to COVID-19.

Getting clinical information to where it’s needed, when it’s needed is central to our mission.

We will continue to update this page as more details become available.
