HEALTHeLINK Releases 2025 Report to the Community

BUFFALO, NY – For nearly two decades, HEALTHeLINK has been enabling technology to drive health care progress and advance the quality and effectiveness of patient care. HEALTHeLINK highlights how it’s continuing to make patient health information securely available when it counts in its 2025 Report to the Community.

“Our focus – and one of the long-standing values of HEALTHeLINK – is ensuring patient health information is instantly and securely available to treating providers when it’s needed most – at that point of care,” said Dan Porreca, president and CEO, HEALTHeLINK. “Patients see various providers from across the region that utilize different electronic health records, which is why it’s so important that hospitals and health systems streamline how this information is shared. Wherever patients go, HEALTHeLINK strives to ensure their health stories follow.”

A few of the major highlights from HEALTHeLINK’S 2025 Report to the Community include:
• HEALTHeLINK was the first health information network in the state to adopt a new clinical information platform for its participants, intended to build a stronger long-term foundation for better patient care.

• The expanded reach of HEALTHeOUTCOMES by onboarding numerous high-volume Medicaid and Medicare organizations and engaging a broad range of providers. HEALTHeOUTCOMES helps providers identify care gaps, manage chronic conditions, and monitor key quality metrics.

• To further transform community health intelligence, new maternal and child health metrics, including low birth weights and pre-term births, were added to the HEALTHeWNY Dashboard to provide even more comprehensive data insights into the community’s health.

• More than 41 million clinical results, such as lab tests and radiology reports and images, were delivered. This marks nearly a 9% increase year-over-year.

• Alert notifications, which deliver providers and care coordination networks with real-time updates regarding patient hospital admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency department visits, totaled more than 9.7 million in 2025.

HEALTHeLINK also continues to collaborate with similar organizations across the state and country, including the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) and other Qualified Entities in New York State that make up the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY) and nationally with Civitas Networks for Health, to leverage and share best practices for improved health outcomes.
