Daniel Porreca has been leading HEALTHeLINK since 2007, growing it into one of the leading clinical exchange networks in the United States. With more than 30 years of experience in the health care and technology industry, Porreca has a wealth of knowledge and a strategic understanding of health care technology and its application in the clinical setting.
Porreca serves on the board of directors for the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) and on the governing board of the Buffalo Translational Consortium for the Buffalo Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Porreca also serves on the New York State Commissioner of Health’s Transparency, Evaluation, and HIT Workgroup, serves as an advisor to the board of Stella Technology and previously served on the board of the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC).
Allen brings more than 30 years of business and technical management experience, including more than a decade in the health care industry to HEALTHeLINK. As director of operations, he is responsible for practice outreach and servicing as well as building and managing the business and technical processes and controls needed to successfully and securely deliver HEALTHeLINK services, including compliance and auditing functions.
Allen is a member of the New York State Policy committee that advises the New York State Department of Health on statewide health information exchange policies and serves on various workgroups focused on specific policy and implementation opportunities.
Sarah Cotter is responsible for the development and execution of HEALTHeLINK’s Population Health strategy and Value Based Care initiatives. She works as part of the organization’s leadership team in the development of business plans, strategic planning efforts, and practice outreach.
Cotter brings more than a decade’s worth of heath care administration, health IT, and Value Based Payment experience. Her focus has been in supporting and transforming the way physician practices and integrated delivery systems use IT platforms to improve the way they delivery care to patients, and achieve the Triple Aim, and will continue to do so for HEALTHeLINK’s stakeholders.
With HEALTHeLINK since 2007, Kinley serves as executive assistant to HEALTHeLINK’S Executive Director Daniel Porreca and is responsible for coordinating human resources, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable. She also serves as a member of HEALTHeLINK’S marketing committee and serves as a scribe for various other committee and board meetings.
Director of Technology & Security Officer
With 30 years of experience working in information technology on an international scale, McNichol has contributed his extensive technical and healthcare knowledge and skill to HEALTHeLINK for nearly ten years. He is director of technology and security officer and this combination of roles means that McNichol not only provides the technology strategy and innovation but also that he ensures that patient health information is kept private and secure as possible.
McNichol participates in the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY) workgroup designed to develop common policies, standards, technical approaches and services to support New York’s health information infrastructure. He is also a member of FBI’s Infragard and was previously an adjunct professor in Trocaire College’s Healthcare Informatics program.
With more than 14 years of finance experience, Welsch is responsible for all financial and accounting operations at HEALTHeLINK and works as part of the organization’s leadership team in the development of business plans, strategic planning efforts, and project initiation and coordination.
Welsch serves as co-chair of the of the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) Group Purchasing Committee, facilitating discussions with potential vendors to provide member benefits.
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
With HEALTHeLINK for the past eight years, Burandt has established a compliance team who has been instrumental in enhancing the organization’s auditing program. A Certified HIPAA Privacy Expert (CHPE), she participates in the sMPI Data Governance Workgroup and Policy Implementation Sub-Committee and is a member of the advisory board for Erie Community College’s Health Information Technology Program.
With more than 20 years of experience in customer service and improving efficiency through technology, Gates has been with the HEALTHeLINK account management team for more than a decade. He is responsible for the engagement and adoption of health information services and ongoing support and maintenance with participating providers.
Lane brings more than 20 years of project management experience within IT and human resources to her role at HEALTHeLINK. Currently, she guides the Project Management Office and together with colleagues across the organization, successfully implements a variety of projects. From building the foundation with new and improved platforms, to research and regulatory initiatives, all efforts are focused on enhanced utilities within the Western New York community.
Marshall has over twenty years of information technology experience and is responsible for leading the technical, interface and analytics teams at HEALTHeLINK. She joined HEALTHeLINK in 2007 as one of its original team members. In her current role, Marshall manages the integration, performance and quality of all incoming and outgoing data, as well as the analysis and reporting of metrics and measures.
